Terms of Service

About This Practice
This website and the services offered are part of my independent private practice as a Counselling Psychologist.
I offer online therapy for adults, along with workshops and mental health support for organisations.
Therapy is a space for emotional exploration, self-understanding, and psychological support. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency services.
Eligibility
Therapy is available for adults (18 years and above).
By booking a session, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are choosing to engage in therapy voluntarily.
Confidentiality
What you share in therapy is kept confidential.
There are a few important exceptions to this, including situations where:
-
there is a risk of harm to yourself or someone else
-
there are legal or court requirements for disclosure
-
there are concerns related to abuse or neglect
Where possible, this will be discussed with you beforehand.
As part of ethical practice, I may engage in professional supervision. In such cases, your identity is not disclosed, and confidentiality is maintained.
Online Therapy
All sessions are conducted online via Google Meets.
While care is taken to use secure systems, absolute confidentiality over the internet cannot be guaranteed. You are encouraged to attend sessions from a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.
Working with Clients in Different Countries
As sessions are conducted online, you may be accessing therapy from outside India.
While I aim to offer a consistent and supportive therapeutic space, it’s important to be aware that I am based in India and practice in accordance with the ethical and legal frameworks applicable here.
If you are accessing therapy from another country:
-
You are responsible for ensuring that engaging in online therapy is permitted within your local laws or regulations
-
I may not be familiar with emergency services, crisis systems, or legal procedures in your location
-
In situations involving immediate risk, I may not be able to coordinate emergency support directly in your country
For this reason, it is important that you:
-
Share your current location at the start of our work together
-
Identify local emergency services or a trusted contact in your area
I will always act in good faith to support your safety and wellbeing. However, responsibility for accessing immediate or crisis support within your local context remains with you.
Booking & Payment
-
Sessions must be booked in advance
-
Payment is required to confirm your appointment
-
Session fees may vary depending on location and context (for example, individual vs organisational services)
-
Any changes in fees will not affect already confirmed sessions
Cancellation & Rescheduling
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session
-
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are chargeable
-
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time
Session Guidelines
To support the process:
-
Please join sessions on time
-
Ensure you are in a private and distraction-free environment
-
A stable internet connection is recommended
If there are significant technical disruptions, we can reschedule where possible.
Communication Boundaries
Communication outside sessions is limited to scheduling and administrative purposes.
Therapy-related discussions are held within sessions to ensure you receive the space and attention they deserve.
I do not offer support over text, WhatsApp, or social media outside scheduled sessions.
Nature of Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative and reflective process.
It can sometimes bring up difficult or unfamiliar thoughts and feelings. This is a natural part of the work.
While therapy can be deeply supportive, outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as the process depends on many individual factors.
Safety & Crisis Support
This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services.
If you are feeling unsafe or in immediate distress, please contact:
-
your local emergency services
-
a mental health helpline
-
a trusted person in your life
We can discuss appropriate ongoing support within therapy where needed.
Ending Therapy
You are free to end therapy at any point.
Where possible, it is helpful to use the final session(s) to reflect on your experience and bring a sense of closure to the work.
Limitation of Liability
While I aim to provide a thoughtful and ethical therapeutic space, I am not liable for decisions or outcomes that arise outside the sessions.
Therapy is a supportive process, but each individual remains responsible for their own choices and actions.
